The Auckland Chamber Orchestra has now provided musical entertainment and opportunities for musicians to work together for over 15 years. A good society needs arts and music to help balance the pursuit of work and income.

We have reached over 10,000 audience numbers over our lifetime and count among our supporters many long term loyal patrons as well as casual attendees. We believe that through music people can come together and nourish their souls as an important complement to the hustle and bustle of everyday chores.

ACO has a unique asset in Peter Scholes, our music director, who is also a composer and outstanding musician in his own right. The work put in by the trust board is charitable and unpaid and the longserving board members work well together with the conviction that something very important is added to the local arts scene through the ACO.

To increase our reach into Auckland communities we will be trialling free concerts in 2016. We expect this to add diversity and numbers to our audiences.

We are truly grateful to our loyal sponsors who play an essential role in making it all happen. We are looking forward to many more years of creating joy for Aucklanders from all walks of life.
